Flooding near Battle Creek

I wasn’t planning on chasing this day as I had quite a bit still to get done to prepare for my move to Norman. Severe Thunderstorm warnings came out in the mid afternoon, and I decided to head down to Battle Creek to investigate.

The storms weren’t very impressive, but did drop a lot of rain and cause some considerable flooding issues in the Battle Creek area. A major point of flooding was right by the new Firekeepers Casino, where M-96 was completely flooded over, with water as deep as a foot or more in spots.

I headed a bit further west and ran into some tree damage from the winds earlier, but nothing crazy.
